Emergency First Aid Course

This one day course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare participants to administer emergency first aid care. Participants will learn a high level of practical skill so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise.

With a major emphasis on dealing with accidents that happen in the workplace or home. This unique course will give you the skills to deal with all first aid and medical emergencies that can occur. Following successful completion of the course participants will be awarded an “Emergency First Aid and Basic Life Support” certificate which is valid for 2 years.

This comprehensive one-day course is particularly suited to anyone who is likely to have to respond to emergencies in the home, workplace or in the community. This emergency first aid course will also enable participants to act as a back up to Occupational First Aiders in the workplace. Participants will gain the necessary theoretical knowledge and learn a range of practical basic first aid skills enabling them to deal competently and confidently with common injuries and illnesses.

Included in the training are the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the action to take in the event of choking for children. During the resuscitation training we use a ratio of 1:1 (1 manikin for each participant) this gives you the maximum hands-on practical training and affords the best hygiene standards.
